Look at this sweet little one born in the wee early hours of Tuesday morning, September 8, 2009. Alex, first time mama, did an amazing job during labor and pushed little Gus out in a very timely fashion, after initially having rupture of membranes with no contractions. Both are looking extremely cozy here….too bad daddy Sean could not be in the picture, but he is taking it. Gus weighed in at 7 pounds 5 oz. Here are some more very alert August pictures; his hands seem to always be up around his face and head. Usually when babies spend time like this in the early postpartum days, they were born with a nuchal hand up near their face; but not the case with Gus. He must have decided it was much easier to come out with his hands down by his side….but he has quickly discovered them!
