ICAN is a powerful organization supporting women who want to preserve natural childbirth. ICAN is a huge supporter of VBACs and is a leading authority on the safety of VBAC.
The first meeting of ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) of Austin will be Saturday, October 3rd, 10:30am at 2302 Rae Dell Ave, Austin, 78704.
The meeting topic will be "Building an ICAN Community." After this initial meeting, we will choose a more permanant time/place for our meetings.
ICAN of Austin is a support group for women in the greater Austin, TX area. We welcome all who are striving to prevent unnecessary cesareans through education; who need support for cesarean recovery; or who are interested in vaginal birth after cesarean. You do not have to pay dues to ICAN to attend meetings or join our yahoo group. We want this to be a safe place to share birth stories, ask questions, receive advice, and find and give support and encouragement, as well as find the resources you need.
