these cute little goaties joined our farmyard at the end of August. I really wanted to video the birth to post here on the blog, but mama Maizie had different ideas and they were already born when I went out to milk early one Thursday morning. The darker girl is named Chocolate Chip and the lighter colored boy is named Almond. We are very fond of naming our animals after food! In this picture, they are just a few hours old. Now that they are about 3 weeks old, they are jumping, and frolicking about. Nothing makes one smile more than watching little goats leap about after each other, I do not know how they get so far off the ground.

Amongst all these human baby births....
