Yikes....40 minute labor!

Summer Rose chose to enter the world very quickly.  Her mama woke at 6:05 in the morning on July 1st with a contraction.  Her daddy called me at 6:29, I got in the car by 6:37, and she was born at 6:45am while I was driving to their home!!  I was on the phone, talking them through the birth...probably wasn't necessary because when mamas have babies this fast, they both just know what to do. This does not happen often, but when it does, it is always such a pleasant thing to hear the baby cry on the other end of the phone line!  I got to the house, helped the placenta come, pampered mom and baby and here they are, all happy with big sister Emma Grace and big brother Nicky.
