Traveling Midwife

Tomorrow I am off on an adventure I have not gone on before....traveling a long distance to a college friends home to help her have a baby!  I am so excited to go and just be there with her and her family, awaiting labor, and actually sleeping at the house where a baby is to be born.  No packing the birth kit, getting in a car, driving to a different house...it all seems so strange.  I have packed lots of knitting and reading material so my friend does not feel like a watched pot.  I'll keep you posted....
