November Days

I love waking up to a bit of briskness in the air, it seems to make the goats friskier and the turkeys gobble more. I have not helped at any births lately, just patiently waiting for the mamas and babies to be ready. Yesterday was spent making a vat of goat cheese and a pot of home made applesauce, both yummies that make me smile. I am thinking that this weekend we will shear Jewel, our Angora goat, and take Maizie, our farmyard matron, to her boyfriends farm for a visit. Wish I had some great excitement to share, but these sweet fall days have been leisurely...wait a minute, I just remembered the most exciting thing that has happened in the last decade, or maybe ever, we just broke through many, many barriers and elected one of the most inspiring speakers I have heard in a long time as President!
