Yeah! The first birth announcement on this blog....Jude Evan was born November 13, 2008 at 9:40pm, weighing exactly 9 pounds. Here he is about 2 hours old. His mama, Susan, birthed him just above the water in their big bathtub. They relaxed in the tub for many minutes as he nursed energetically, after which she climbed out of the tub without much help and carried this big boy to the bed with her where she then proceeded to push and pull out her own placenta. I pretty much just sat and watched in awe! Jude has two big brothers, Ethan and Caleb, who rushed right in after their brother was born; later they snuggled in the bed with mom and baby.
