Well... I have been home a week from the Mecca for Midwives, the annual Midwives Alliance of North America conference. This year we gathered in Traverse City, Michigan where the fall leaves were like nothing I ever see here in Texas, red, orange, yellow, gold, yellow-orange, red-yellow, you get the picture. I had a wonderful time working and sharing stories with all of my midwife friends from around the country. The conference is not only a place for us laugh and sing and dance, it is also a political hotbed where women from many different Midwifery organizations who support Normal Birth get together to discuss tactics for increasing midwifery access for ALL women. This is something I feel passionately about and will certainly continue to blog about.
